Introduction
Designed for experienced nurses who are graduates of accredited BSN programs seeking additional education in nursing, our MSN program allows you to complete 30-credits (10 courses in approximately 1.5 years) in advanced nursing with a focus on quality, safety, and leadership. The Master of Science in Nursing program is designed in accordance with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) MSN Essentials of Master’s Education in Nursing (2011) as a pathway for nurse leaders to pursue a variety of nursing specialties.
Today’s nursing workforce continues to expand its presence beyond the traditional healthcare settings—from practice to non-clinical roles in research, policy, and ethics. Career paths for those with nursing skills are diversifying too. Nurses increasingly find work in varied settings as they pursue careers with stability and flexibility.
