Introduction
Augusta University offers a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a concentration in Clinical Nurse Leader. This program is an innovative, accelerated graduate program for individuals with non-nursing bachelor's degrees. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the NCLEX licensure examination for Registered Nurses (RN) and the CNL Certification exam offered by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. The MSN-CNL program is taught on the Augusta and Athens campuses.
A Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) is a Master's educated nurse who is prepared to take on a role of leadership in any healthcare setting. The role of a CNL was created to better prepare nurses for work in the modern health care system and to improve patient care.
