Introduction
The focus of the program is to impart the required knowledge and practical skills in experimental virology and experimental biomedicine. Workshops, scientific discussions, and individual project presentations are key parts of education. Students will study to formulate scientific problems, questions, ways, and methods to solve them, to write scientific articles.
Key research topics:
- The study of molecular genetics and phylogenetic features of actual viruses
- Forecasting the directions of variability and evolution of influenza and other viruses
- Production of new highly sensitive diagnostic test systems for the indication of influenza viruses and other acute respiratory infections
- Development of rapid diagnostic preparations
- Development of the new influenza vaccines
- Design and study of the mechanism of action of new antiviral drugs
- Searching for the new targets for antiviral drugs along with host and viral proteins
