Introduction
The online Master of Science in Nursing with a track in Family Nursing Practice (FNP) from Campbellsville University prepares working nurses to advance their careers and demonstrate excellence in healthcare while providing quality care to diverse patients throughout the lifespan. The MSN with FNP Track program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
With the support of a dedicated faculty of educators who share years of diverse nursing experience, students of the program gain the academic credentials necessary to take the national certification exam to become a certified family nurse practitioner.
Designed for nurses with full-time responsibilities, this Master of Science in Nursing program requires the completion of 45 credit hours, including courses that can be completed fully online through the university’s interactive digital learning platform. Students can complete courses at their own pace while building skills in essential topics, such as leadership development in the medical field, advanced pharmacology and pathophysiology, clinical decision-making, disease prevention, and more.
The program also requires 660 additional hours of clinical nursing experience to ensure students are fully prepared for the real-world responsibilities of a family nurse practitioner. Upon graduation from the program, students are fully equipped to take the national certification exam to become certified family nurse practitioners and to pursue nursing education at the doctorate level.
