Introduction
Western University is a leader in wound care, has been the first graduate program of this kind in Canada.
The Advanced Health Care Practice - Wound Healing master’s program provides advanced education in wound care to an interprofessional mix of health professionals, including nurses, chiropodists and occupational therapists.
The program focuses on developing specialized clinical and research skills to assess and treat acute and chronic wounds. Over the course of one year, students will develop strategies for life-long learning and skills to share and apply that knowledge in various health settings. This program is delivered as a combination of online courses, on-campus residency periods and clinical mentorship. Students have the flexibility of self-directed learning with access to our world-class instructors.
