IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems (IMC Krems) is widely regarded as Austria’s most modern and international university of applied sciences. The university currently offers 28 innovative full-time and part-time degree programmes in business, digitalisation and engineering, health sciences and life sciences.

International partnership in action

International aspects shape day-to-day activities at IMC Krems: we have close ties with over 140 partner universities, cooperate in numerous partnership programmes and our students come from 50 different countries. Intercultural exchange, internships abroad, participation in international research projects, and lectures from international teaching staff and guest professors with extensive international experience are part and parcel of what we do. Around half of all degree programmes are taught in English – an especially attractive aspect for both Austrian and foreign students.

With this master's degree program, we respond to the growing demand for therapists who are entitled to practice music therapy on their own responsibility. In addition to the further development of musical therapeutic skills, we focus on a deeper examination of research-led practice. The goal is to educate academics who are competent in acting and research who, after entry in the official, public list of "music therapists", are responsible for the self-responsible practice of music therapy according to §10 and §12 of the Austrian Music Therapy Act (MuthG, BGBl.
